Michael Kyle has over 16 years of experience in the Intellectual Property field, including over 11 years as a registered patent attorney and over 5 years as a patent examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Mr. Kyle’s practice is focused primarily on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the mechanical and software arts. Mr. Kyle also prepares freedom-to-operate, patentability, invalidity and infringement opinions for patent matters. Mr. Kyle works with clients to develop patent portfolios domestically and abroad. Mr. Kyle believes it is important to invest in learning his clients’ business and offering flexibility to help his clients’ achieve their goals.

Mr. Kyle has prepared and prosecuted patent applications on behalf of numerous small, medium and large-sized companies in technologies such as: Heavy Construction Equipment, Automotive Components; Personal Hygiene Products; Manufacturing Equipment; Hardware and Tools; Fluid Applicators; Healthcare Appliances; Bedding and Textiles; Optics and Lasers; Films and Laminate Materials; Wireless Communications; Packaging; Protective Equipment; and Product Testing Equipment and Methods.

Prior to joining Klintworth and Rozenblat IP, Mr. Kyle was most recently with the law firms of Levenfeld Pearlstein and Cantor Colburn. Mr. Kyle started his career as a patent examiner with the USPTO.

â– Representing a large automotive manufacturer to obtain patent rights in numerous vehicular technologies including exhaust aftertreatment, engine controls, autonomous systems and safety systems.
â– Representing a large automotive supplier to obtain patent rights for vehicle steering systems and components.

â– Representing a global diversified manufacturer to secure patent rights in a wide range of technologies including packaging and packaging equipment, fluid applicators and power tools and accessories.
