PRACTICE SUMMARY

Kevin Rosin has over fifteen years of experience in intellectual property law, focusing primarily on the preparation and prosecution of domestic and foreign patent applications. 

​

Mr. Rosin has filed and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications, mainly in the mechanical, electrical, and biomedical arts. Representative technology fields in which Mr. Rosin has experience include: semiconductor fabrication, power electronics packaging, medical imaging systems and devices, welding equipment, electric/hybrid vehicle power conversion and storage, internal combustion engines, transportation and loading dock controls, dual fuel generators, electrical motors and actuators, motor control systems, photovoltaic power systems, compressed air energy storage, and personal hygiene product manufacturing. 

 

Mr. Rosin counsels clients in all aspects of patent portfolio management, including developing patent filing strategies and opinion work.  Mr. Rosin has provided counseling on: right to practice, invalidity and patentability; and product clearance and design-arounds for new inventions.

REPRESENTATIVE PATENT PROSECUTION EXPERIENCE

Mr. Rosin has represented a wide variety of clients, including numerous Fortune 100 companies, small to midsize businesses, and individual inventors. Selected representations include:

â–  Represented one of the world’s largest power management companies to secure patent rights for technologies directed to circuit breakers, switchgear, busway, UPS systems, power distribution units, panel boards, load centers, motor controls, meters, sensors, relays and inverters. 

​

â–  Represented a global leader in medical imaging technology to secure patent rights for magnetic resonance (MR), computed tomography (CT) and positron emission tomography (PET) imaging systems, and ultrasound imaging and therapy devices. 


â–  Represented the R&D research arm of an international company to secure patent rights on technology related to the fabrication and packaging of semiconductor power devices.

â–  Represented a growing generator company to build their patent portfolio for dual fuel generators and standby generators.
