PRACTICE SUMMARY

 

Mr. Adams has practiced intellectual property law for over 40 years in New York City and has extensive experience in prosecuting and litigating patent, trademark/trade dress and copyright matters.  He has prosecuted over 5000 U.S. patents in diverse technologies and has conducted bench and jury trials in federal and state courts.  His patent prosecution experience includes reissues, ex parte and inter partes reexams, and interferences.  He has a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent rating.

The fields in which Mr. Adams has extensive experience include timepieces, scanning probe technology, composite charged-particle-beam technology, power tools, snow blowers, electronic devices, circuits and fabrication, fuel cells, nanotechnology, lasers, crystal growth technology, liquid jet recording apparatus, ophthalmologic apparatus, underground pipe rehabilitation, motor vehicles and engines, writing instruments, and concrete molding and concrete products.  He is a former Patent Examiner in the fluid control, metal working, and radiant energy arts.

Prior to joining Klintworth & Rozenblat IP, Mr. Adams was with the law firm Burns, Lobato & Zelnick and later a partner in Burns, Lobato & Adams.  In 1987, he founded the law firm Adams & Wilks.
